A Life Of Innocence

I often believe,
That I would rather be older,
Then being younger.

But could I be wrong,
When life was so innocent,
With nothing to worry about,
Except for getting homework?

Yes I have a car,
And even a job.

But I have insurance,
And a house to pay for.

I know i'm complaining,
About something this silly,
But do you at least,
Understand how i'm feeling?

Sure I was dumb,
And not very wise.

But if being a kid,
Was meant to be free,
From all of the problems in the world,
Then why would I not want that?

I didn't cared,
Nor given much thought,
Until now,
Knowing I was a fool,
For wanting to grow up.

So in the end,
I can tell you one thing,
That I do regret,
Of not enjoying,
The bit of freedom,
That I had back than.
